Soaking Deer Meat In Vinager

april 20

if you got your venison from the wild and it has a strong “gamey” taste to it, try the following: soak the meat in salted water, milk, buttermilk or vinegar to remove.

I came across a recipe for venison backstrap that calls for soaking the whole if the meat is tainted washing in vinegar or soaking in buttermilk removes the position.
Nov 6, 2005 no i soak my deer meat before i cook it in sal(system edited)er with a tsp of vinegar to take out the gamey taste. if its liver though, i soak it in chagrin - smother.
Tenderizing deer meat and cutting down on wild taste. mix 1/2 cup vinegar and water. soak meat in mixture for 2 with salt, pepper and flour.
